A series of courtyards are formed within the village as a focus for married student life. Each building is treated with a variety of exterior materials to develop an appropriate variety of expression to enliven the large community and to meld it into the character of the Berkeley environs. Both townhouses and flats are incorporated into the design as well as numerous courtyards and parks.
