A diversity of residential building types will be employed to accommodate 1,101 dwelling units within the new redeveloped downtown urban neighborhood at North San Pedro Road in downtown San Jose, California. Several high-rise towers, including a signature landmark building, will establish a dramatic urban character for the neighborhood. Mid-rise buildings up to eight stories as well as a variety of low rise buildings, including townhouses, will both define the streets and establish a sense of place.
Street level frontages will be designed to provide a pedestrian oriented character with retail lining North San Pedro and facing the Park. The paseos and park frontages offer opportunities to enter units directly from grade by stoops and are typically defined by high-density townhouses. Street improvements, including ornamental lighting, street trees, and street furniture will enliven the pedestrian routes. Parking garages will be screened from view and not adjoin streets directly.
